What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. If a form asks for more, such as your name, mobile phone number, whether you are new to tax or already a tax professional, or your choice about text messages, we collect what you give us. We also record the page you signed up on and basic campaign details from the link you used.
How we use it
- To tell you when Tax Gen opens and to send you updates.
- To send you text messages, only if you checked the text message box.
- To tell you about related programs from CJ Silvas, CPA, including Acquire A Firm.
Text messages
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Every email includes a link to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use service providers to store data and send email and text messages on our behalf, and they may only use it to provide those services to us. Meta also receives the visit and signup details described under Ads and measurement.
Ads and measurement
This site uses the Meta Pixel. It tells Meta which pages of this site you visit, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited. If you join the waitlist after clicking one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, we also tell Meta that you joined, from your browser and from our own server. With that we send your email address in scrambled (hashed) form, plus your IP address and browser type, so Meta can match it to the ad you clicked. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy. You can limit ads based on your activity in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.
Counting visits
We also count visits ourselves. Your browser keeps a random ID that is not your name or email, and each page you open on this site sends us that ID, the page, the campaign details in the link you used, the website you came from, and whether you are on a phone or a computer. If you join, we connect your signup to that ID, so we can see which links bring people who sign up.
